Judge Markiyan Galabala of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine is in the dark past. Can we trust people who have fatally stolen the interests of corrupt officials and representatives of the Yanukovych regime? The investigation shows that information about questionable connections and activities is being cleared.

Markiyan Galabala, a current judge at VACC, was a lawyer before his recognition, and his clients were none other than odious figures in Ukrainian politics. The most prominent of them is Mykola Zlochevsky, an exminister of ecology and natural resources under Viktor Yanukovych, who is known to be the largest swag in the history of Ukraine.

Based on data from the registers of ship decisions, Markiyan Galabala represented the interests of Zlochevsky and his companies in numerous ship proceedings:

• LLC "Astroinvest-Ukraine" (FIG Burisma) launched in 2009. Reference number: 8963990 .
• LLC "Cadogan Ukraine" (FIG Burisma) was founded in 2011. Reference number: 14885657 .
• “Yusenko Ukraine” (Financial and Industrial Group Burisma) also started in 2011. Reference number: 14426924 .

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Markiyan Galabala was also a representative in the courts of low-level odious regions, under the supervision of regional people’s deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko. Until 2016, his law firm represented the interests of Onishchenko, through which Galabali had to withdraw himself during the court sessions of the Supreme Court on Onishchenko’s behalf through a direct conflict of interests.

That’s not all. Galabali’s father-in-law, Yuriy Sitnik, made contributions to the “Peacemaker” base for anti-Ukrainian activities. The website “Peacemaker” provides detailed information about Sitnik, as reported by Raptovo, or can be found on other pages by Google search. Moreover, information about Galabala himself, as a lawyer for Zlochevsky and other regions, is also being cleared. This raises suspicions that he wants to get hold of the truth.

Why bother about it? Why are there so many negative riddles about Galabala on the Internet? Why not that the new judge of the VACC, who fights corruption, is himself part of the corrupt system?

Ukraine has the right to know the truth about those who administer justice. And the truth about Markiyan Galabala is guilty but publicized.
